| Special Thanks
A HUGE thank you goes to the Edison ASB, students and faculty for their successful "Penny Drive". They raised over $1200 for SPOT! This will be able to help spay and neuter over 50 pets. Way to go!
A special thanks goes to Deanna Wagner for her generous donation to support our grooming supplies.
A big thanks goes to Michele M who organized the volunteers and animals for the Petsmart Adoptathon during the weekend of Feb 12-14. We adopted out 20 pets (for the week) and raised $700 dollars through the Petsmart Charities. Joan C, Jeannie S, Corinne C, Cindy V and Valerie R all helped out as well during the event. Way to go everyone!
A huge thank you goes to Dri-Eaz of Burlington for their generous donation of a 'dog dryer'. This will go to great use when grooming and preparing the dogs for their new homes. THANK YOU!

The SPOT Board of Directors would like to send our heartfelt "THANK YOU" to all the volunteers, foster homes, businesses/services who have opened up their homes, hearts, and businesses to help the animals in the recent puppy mill raids. And a special thank you goes to Deputy Emily Diaz and the Skagit County Sherrif's Department for your persistence. Without you, we would never be able to do this. Thanks to all of the public for your generocity; from the thousands of dollars of monetary and tangible donations to the people and groups putting on fundraising events for us and the other rescues/shelters who are helping to care for the dogs. We really do appreciate each and every one of you. But really, the dogs are the ones benefiting from your kindness. They are in the care of people who truly want the best for them and are able to give them all the love and attention that they so desperately deserve. I would like to personally thank the Board for your dedication to the success of SPOT. Without you, we wouldn't be able to make such a huge difference in the lives of the animals in our community.
You are awesome! Teresa Steiner SPOT President

Dear Karen and Linda-
We just wanted to thank you both and S.P.O.T for doing such a great service to the cause of companion pets around the region. Our experience with your organization has been a very positive one, both when we adopted our cat Shyla and when we (unfortunately) had to surrender her to S.P.O.T. on 3/29/08 because of reasons beyond control. It was one of the toughest decisions we had to make in surrendering her, but we are greatly comforted and reassured by the fact that your team is there to take good care of her and in finding a suitable home for Shyla while temporarily accommodating her in foster care. Your understanding and the professional manner of your interactions impressed us. We appreciate that very much.
Our interactions with S.P.O.T. as well as our observations of your work at Mount Vernon PETCO, make us highly cognizant of your commitment in performing such a yeoman service to the cause of pet welfare and in that process that of humans also. We commend you, scores of volunteers and foster care personnel of S.P.O.T. for this. Please be encouraged that your work does not go unrecognized! We have no doubt that the entire regional community has similar opinion about S.P.O.T. Please keep up the good work.
Best regards
S and J

Saving Pets One at a Time (S.P.O.T.) would like to express gratitude to all those individuals who make it possible for us to continue saving pets one at a time.
- A very special thanks goes to Dr. Leslie Pollock of Mount Vernon and to Dr. Pat Knigge of Stanwood. Their generosity and dedication to spaying / neutering is awe inspiring. THANK YOU!
- Foster Homes: Without the dedicated foster homes we would not be able to help reduce the numbers of healthy pets euthanized each year.
- Outreach Volunteers: S.P.O.T. would not be able to place as many animals in to loving homes without these volunteers.
- Board Members: These folks volunteer in several ways and keep the wheels of the organization oiled and ready to roll.
- Fundraising Volunteers: All nonprofit organizations rely heavily on fundraising events. The funds raised are used to cover veterinarian expenses, advertising expenses and general expenses.
- For those that can not give time, we thank you for your generous monetary donations. These donations help us to educate people about the importance of spaying and neutering and they were instrumental in helping us start our MACC (Managing Alley Cat Colonies) and SNAP (Spay/Neuter Assistance Program) programs. (For more information on these programs, feel free to call us at 360-336-5388.)
- We would like to express our gratitude to PetCo for the support, encouragement and generous donations they have given Saving Pets One at a Time.
