East Burlington Feral Colony

SPOT PARTNERS WITH NOAH TO TAKE CONTROL OF A FERAL COLONY IN EAST BURLINGTON!

Starting around the first of May, we started trapping feral cats through our MACC Program (Managing Alley Cat Colonies). With the great facilitating efforts by Robyn Miller and expert trapping abilities of her husband, Ken, SPOT was able to trap, neuter and release the entire colony in a 3 week period.

The final 2 females were taken in for spay surgery this week.

SPOT partnered with NOAH for the surgeries, through their feral cat program, facilitated by Lee Lucky; Ken & Robyn Miller and Ken & Linda Taylor took care of the transport and recovery of all of those cats.  A HUGE thanks goes out to those volunteers! WAY TO GO!

35 total adults were spayed/neutered and returned to the colony. 21 total kittens have been taken into foster care...many of which are being bottle-fed.

Another HUGE thanks goes out to all of those who have stepped up to help with these kittens!

-Michele Myers, Robyn Miller, Jen Sevigny, Joan Crane, Maggie deSouza, Annie Doherty, and Teresa Steiner.

Many others have offered to help, and many more are still stepping forward. I am sure we will be able to utilize all of you this spring and summer for kitten season!

Thanks to all of you!
